Over the course of the last week, Lamborghini began showing off the latest build of their ever popular Gallardo, the 2013 Edizione Tecnica, before officially unveiling it at the Paris Motor Show. We had seen a few teaser shots of the updated fascias, and after Cats Exotics brought over some printouts of the official press photos of the Edizione Tecnica, we knew what had to be done.

While the standard 2013 has been revised a bit, the Edizione Tecnica sports a front end that is remarkably similar to the most recent Super Trofeo Stradale. As luck would have it, Cats Exotics recently acquired a very stunning 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale in rare Grigio Telesto form. While the Edizione Tecnica is going to be offered in 3 different color options with orange accents, the Grigio Telesto Super Trofeo Stradale would be sporting gloss red air dams and pillars to match its already glossy red spoiler caps, brakes, and interior accoutrements.

Blake began by working his way up either side of each pillar individually, squeegeeing the film into position & working out the air pockets.

With a side complete, the tail was trimmed off at the very edge of the rear end as opposed to ending under the spoiler on the Edizione Tecnica. We like to think it looks more complete with the color flowing out underneath the wing and wrapping its way down beside the engine bay cover rather than stopping abruptly up top, and it helps differentiate the Super Trofeo Stradale from a factory ordered Edizione Tecnica.

The front air dams received similar Edizione Tecnica treatment, except that the lower chin spoiler was also wrapped red, with a matte black insert between the two large inlets. It’s hard to spot, but that tiny red lip really does a lot to tie the whole package together pretty subtly!
