Oxidization is a fact of life for any car subjected to the elements. Headlights are a cast plastic in which the smoothness a headlight has when new is from the mold itself as well as a bit of polishing. Overtime and exposure to pitting as well as the elements, the smooth plastic on headlights can be prone to oxidizing, getting hazy, or turning yellow. Ultimately its best to clear bra headlights when new, to protect them from damage.
