“Daily Drivers,” or cars that are driven for day to day tasks, really have a rough life. Rain, snow, mud; these cars get taken through everything and the paint infrequently taken care of. Often times when they finally do make it around to getting washed, these vehicles are taken though auto car washes that use harsh chemicals and dirty brushes. These chemicals, while getting get the car “clean” looking, actually remove protective layers of wax from your vehicles finish. Once all this wax is gone, the chemicals in their cleaning agents will begin to actually work their way into the clear coat and dull your vehicles finish. This was most likely the case with this black Mercedes Benz SL500. While it may have looked clean to the untrained eye, it was in desperate need of some paint correction but more importantly it needed a protective coat of wax.
