Often times your hear about old cars that have been restored referred to “good as when it rolled off the showroom floor.” While that may be the case, sometimes they even look “better” than they did when they were new. The term for this is “over restored.” It’s not often though that you get to see an older car that is actually almost new! This Mercedes-Benz 300CS came to us for a refresh with only 3000 original miles! This car literally looked like it was a couple months old since it has basically been sitting for the last 10 years. Because the paint was so old though, it was dry and in dire need of a claybar, polish and a coat of wax to replenish the oils into the paint. We also used a rubber restoring product on the seals which rejuvenates the rubber with the essential oils to retain its sealing properties and to avoid the seals and trims from drying out any further. Once we were finished up with the exterior, we also used an intensive leather conditioner to all leather surfaces, conditioner for the vinyl interior surfaces and then cleaned off the film from all interior windows. Take a look at these after shots!
