Red cars are some of the hardest cars to notice imperfections in. Under regular lighting conditions, light wash scratches and small surface imperfections are very hard to see in cars such as this Lamborghini Diablo 6.0. It’s not until we bring in a strong LED light source that we can really get a feel for the paints condition. This was the case with this red Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 that was brought to us from Cats Exotics. From afar it looked great but upon closer inspection with an LED, it was clear this vehicle was in need of some attention. This particular vehicle was recently purchased and was about to be shipped to its new owner in Europe. Before it was shipped to its new owner though it received one of our most comprehensive paint correction packages — The Connoisseur Detail. Among other things, this detail provides 3 stages of paint correction in order to make sure all surface imperfections (other than ones that would require wet sanding) have been corrected. Not only was the exterior taken care of but the interior received our full leather restoration detail. The leather hide used on the seats loses essential oils over time. With this process we reapply these and other essential oils to bring the new leather look, feel, and smell back to the vehicle. Check out the process this Diablo went though below.
The first step after clay bar is to protect all the plastics and edges with tape
While the exterior polishing continued, the guys started the leather rejuvenation process on the interior. These oils are left to sit and soak for a full 24 hours before removal.
And now for some afters! One thing you may notice the lack of rear wing in the after shots. During the detailing process, the customer decided that the car would look better wingless so the wing was removed and the trunk was filled and repainted.
