When Porsche started production of their flagship supercar, they originally planned on making 1,500 examples. In 2005 though they stopped production and only reached a total of 1,270 vehicles produced world wide, 604 of those coming to America. Of those, only 44 were Fayence Yellow so that makes this a very rare and special car. Here at NWAS our first priority is giving our customers exactly what they need. As with all the vehicles we detail, we started with a full hand wash of the exterior of the vehicle.

Next we inspect the paint to assess the level of correction needed. This specific vehicle required an Enthusiast Detail and an interior detail. Like all of the cars we detail, the interior leather was cleaned with only the highest quality products on the market today. All Porsche Carrera GTs use a very hard ceramic clear coat. “Ceramic Clearcoat uses nanotechnology to migrate silicon particles to the outer surface of the coating, creating a very thin, hard, glass-like surface. It sets a new standard for scratch resistance, at least three times better than that of any prior coatings, while maintaining excellent acid etch resistance…(PPG Industries Inc).” While this is great for protecting the paint and resisting scratches, it is more difficult to correct then conventional clear coat when it does eventually get scratched. As a result, NorthWest Auto Salon has uses special Menzerna polishes made specifically for this sort of clear coat.
