Satin wraps are the newest evolution of the matte car craze that has been sweeping the automotive world over the last several years. Satin wraps are different than the conventional matte vinyl wraps in several ways. The biggest difference though is that a satin wrap doesn’t change the vehicle’s color. Other vinyl films are made to change the color color of the vehicle while satin wraps are actually a translucent clear bra film that gives the stock color a matte look. This film also provides the same level of paint protection that a regular clear bra does as well. A couple weeks back we did our first satin wrap on a Porshce Cayenne GTS and this week we had a Porsche 997.2 GT3RS in for a satin wrap of its own!

The first step was to remove all of the decals from the exterior of the vehicle

Next the vehicle was clay bared to make sure there would be no contaminants trapped under the wrap

After this, it was finally time to start the wrap process
